Welcome
After many years of covering personal finance, retirement, and investing, I'm now focusing on one of the most important issues of our time: longevity. I'm a new columnist with the Stanford Center on Longevity Magazine, where I write "Financing Longer Lives", and I'm also a regular contributor to the Kiplinger Retirement Report.
Prior to this, you could find my work in numerous publications, including: The New York Times (where I wrote the Cost of Living column), Next Avenue, Kiplinger, Encyclopedia Britannica, Money, AARP, and MSN.com (where I created the long-standing Women in Red series). In addition, I was the founding editor-in-chief of DailyWorth.com, one of the first personal finance and investing newsletters aimed at women. And my book, "Money Can Buy Happiness," won a Books for a Better Life award.
On the business side, I spent a few years as an Editorial Director with T Brand, the creative studio at The New York Times. Working with the talented T Brand team, I created high-performing articles, videos, games, and podcasts for Fortune 500 financial brands.
Last: I've lately launched Squished, a Substack that explores the strange cul-de-sac many people my age find themselves driving around — managing older parents, young-ish kids, and all the things no one warns you about — from pull-ups to powers of attorney.
